This Privacy Policy explains how 1% Method ("the App," "we," "our," or "us") handles your information. 1% Method is developed by Ardin, a sole proprietor based in Switzerland.
We built 1% Method with a privacy-first approach. The App stores all your data locally on your device. We do not operate servers, collect analytics, or track your behavior. We have no ability to access your data.
We do not collect any personal data. All data generated by the App stays on your device.

We do not have access to any of this data. There is no server, no backend, no database, and no account system. We cannot see, retrieve, or analyze your information.

HealthKit data is governed by Apple's strict HealthKit guidelines:
You control HealthKit permissions through your device's Settings > Health > 1% Method. You can revoke access at any time.
1% Method uses Anthropic's Claude AI (a US-based AI company) to generate personalized fitness plans and provide AI coaching responses. The App requests your explicit consent before any data is sent to Anthropic.
Data sent to Anthropic is subject to Anthropic's own privacy policy and terms. We encourage you to review them:
Anthropic processes data under their API terms, which state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. We are not responsible for how Anthropic processes data sent to their API.
1% Method offers auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly CHF 6.90, yearly CHF 44.90) with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, managed entirely by Apple through the App Store.

We do not know how many users we have, how often you open the App, or what features you use.
All App data is stored locally on your device. Data retention is entirely under your control:
Since we do not store any data on servers, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.
1% Method is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly process data from children. Since the App does not collect data or require accounts, there is no mechanism for children to submit personal information to us.

As a Swiss-based developer, we comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG), revised version effective September 1, 2023.

Legal basis for data processing (Art. 6 GDPR): The limited data processing that occurs (local storage, HealthKit integration, API calls to Anthropic) is based on your explicit consent, given when you grant HealthKit permissions and when you choose to use the AI plan generation feature.

The App does not transfer your data to our servers (we have none). The only external data transfer occurs when you use AI plan generation, which sends prompts to Anthropic's servers (located in the United States). This transfer is initiated by you and governed by Anthropic's privacy policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. The updated policy will be available in the App and at 1percentmethod.ch.
For material changes, we will provide notice through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
